Thousands of refugees are stuck in “Groundhog Day”, spending day after day and month after month under occupied in uninspiring camps, car parks, gas stations and fields. There’s little hope of this situation changing or people moving on any time soon thanks to the shocking decisions of the politicians in the EU.
The wait is stressful, de-skilling, exhausting and depressing for people who should be getting on with their lives, and who have little resource to entertain, educate, cook for or support their families, and for the thousands of children who should be in school and being inspired to grow. By offering resources we can help to alleviate the silence, improve mental well-being, increase social connectivity and to allow people to create, care for one another, study and learn.
